The habit
How to keep track of your Botox and filler treatments
What to record, why each piece matters, and the simplest way to do it.
9 things
What to write down for every treatment, every time. Almost nobody does, and it costs them.

You remember the big things. The question is whether you remember the details that actually matter: which product, how many units, which syringe went where, when, and who did it. Almost nobody does, and it costs them.
Here is what to track, why each piece matters, and the simplest way to do it.
Why bother tracking at all
Three moments where your treatment history pays for itself:
01
When something goes wrongA delayed reaction, unexpected swelling, a lump months later. Your provider's first question will be what you had and when. "I think it was Juvederm, maybe last year" slows everything down.
02
When you switch providersMost people do not stay with one injector forever. Your new provider should not have to guess what is already in your face before adding more.
03
When you rebookBotox lasts 3 to 4 months (prescribing information), filler 6 to 24 depending on the product (Drugs.com). If you do not know when your last treatment was, you either book too early and waste money or too late and start from zero.
What to record every time
For each treatment, write down:
- Date
- Product name (Botox, Juvederm Voluma, Restylane, etc., not just "filler")
- Amount (units for Botox, syringes or mL for filler)
- Placement areas (be specific: left cheek, under right eye, not just "face")
- Provider name and practice
- Cost
- Lot number if your provider shares it (good practices do)
- Photos before and after, in the same lighting
- Any reaction, even minor swelling or bruising, with dates
The product name is the one people skip most and regret most.
“Filler” is not a product.
Two years later, when a new injector asks what is in your cheeks, the answer matters.
The methods, ranked
MemoryFree, and worthless by month six. Do not rely on this.
Notes appBetter than nothing. Falls apart when you switch phones or cannot find the note.
SpreadsheetWorks if you are disciplined. Most people are not, and it cannot remind you when results are wearing off.
A dedicated trackerThis is what Rinnova is: your full treatment history mapped on your face, with reminders before results fade. Built for exactly this job.
No receipt? No problem
Add a visit in seconds
Tap the face, pick the product and amount, done.
Set rebooking reminders
The single highest value habit: a reminder at the right interval. Botox at 3 months, filler at 9 to 12 depending on the product. Booking before results fully fade keeps you maintained instead of starting over each time, which usually means better results with less product.
Start with what you can reconstruct
Do not let a blank history stop you. Pull what you can from old receipts, texts with your provider, and photos with timestamps. Enter those first, then record every new treatment going forward. A partial history beats no history.
The bottom line
Your face has a history. You should have a copy. Every treatment, every product, every date, in one place, with reminders before it wears off.
This is exactly why we built Rinnova. Free on the App Store.
